March 1961 - January 2021. It is with heavy hearts that we say Baamaapii to our daughter, sister, and auntie. Bernice (BeaBea) passed away suddenly, but peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, January 30, 2021 in her 60th year, with her family by her side.

Loving daughter of Bernard and Beverly Belleau. Granddaughter of the late Dan and Loretta Pine, and late Bernadine and special godchild of the late Victoria Syrette and Louis D. Syrette. Predeceased by her brother Kevin, sister Valerie (Greg), nephews Kevin and Dean, and niece Stacy-Lynn. She will be deeply missed by her sisters and brothers; Janice, Dina, Derrick (Kim), Lisa (late Ivan), and Darwin (Sherry). Special “Auntie Bea” to Greg (Jayda), Darcy (Jamie), Stephanie, Jessica, Valene, Angela (Lucas), Joseph, Krista, Lindsay (Mitch), Emily (Hannah), and Tedi-Lynn; and great nieces and nephews Kyle (Kayla), Neil, Kadin, Kendra, Ashlyn, Wade, Camdin, Phoenix, Thomas, Kara, and Zylah. Survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins of the Pine, Belleau, and Syrette families who loved her dearly.

Our family is truly blessed to have had the support of Community Living Algoma, and for taking the best possible care of her for so many years. Her CLA family will remember Bea’s beautiful heart, her warm hugs, and infectious smile. She enjoyed her outings with her friends from her home, whether it be shopping, drinking Tim Hortons coffee, or volunteering. Bernice loved to shop, she was always proud to show off her new clothes and haircuts. She enjoyed parties with her family, especially when there was a barbecue or bonfire. We would like to express our gratitude to both the emergency department and ICU physicians and nurses of Sault Area Hospital for their kind and compassionate care toward Bea and our family.

Due to Covid restrictions, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Bernice's life will be announced at a later date.  Contributions in memory of Bernice by cheque or online to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522).  Please visit Arthur Funeral Home website obituaries to leave a memory or message of condolence as a keepsake for Bernice's family.
