BINGHAM, Norma Mae (September 26,1933 to June 2, 2023) - It is with great sadness that the family of Norma Bingham announces her passing on Friday June 2, 2023 in her 90th year.

She is predeceased by her loving husband John Bingham, her three brothers Bill Skea (Marilee) of Whitehorse, Stanley Skea (June) of Whitby, Ronald Skea of Oshawa, her brother-in-law Tom Bingham (Dorothy) of Oshawa, and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, who were her best friends, Margaret and Keith McMahon of Oshawa. Mourning her passing are her brother Glen Skea of Oshawa, and her children John Bingham (Mary), Sara Bingham, Leah Bingham (Mike), and Annabel Bingham (Mike). She was a proud grandmother to Lucas, Mara, Joshua, Sabrina, Alexandra, Colton, and Lily. Loving great-grandmother to Joshua and Gabriel. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends of the family.

Norma was born and raised in Oshawa. She trained for nursing at the Oshawa General Hospital and then attended the University of Toronto studying Public Health. Norma was passionate about nursing throughout her life. She had dedication, compassion, and affection for all of the individuals that she cared for.
Norma had many talents and was a perfectionist. Her sewing was extraordinary and her cooking and baking were phenomenal. She had an amazing sense of style and design which she utilized in renovation projects. She loved music and was an avid reader of everything.

Special thanks from the family goes out to Dr. Reich. The family would like to thank all of the staff at the F.J. Davey Home for their kind and compassionate care of Norma. Memorial contributions payable by cheque or online may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Alzheimer’s Society, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
