Died peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Born in Alife, Italy on March 31, 1926 to Bernardino and Anna Capriata. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfredo Bisceglia. In June of 1954 she immigrated to Canada to join Alfredo. Teresa was a loving and caring person whose home was open to all who dropped by. She, in life, was a true partner, in every sense of the word, to Alfredo. When he struggled to start Twin City Body Shop, she in the early years, worked in the shop cleaning and sanding cars and doing what needed to be done to succeed in the family venture. Teresa opened her home to many who emigrated from her home town in Italy to Canada helping them to get established. Her family, home and gardens were her passion. She delighted in maintaining her flower beds, lawn and particularly her red geraniums. Teresa is predeceased by Alfredo (1986) her brothers Sisto, Alfonso and Giuseppe (Joe) and son-in-law Frank Battocchio. Teresa is survived by her children Joseph Bisceglia (Sandra), Silvana Battocchio, Anna Carullo (Fernando) and Dino Bisceglia. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many caring friends and relatives. A private family service was held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) and graveside service officiated by Father Alex Saurianthadathil with inspirational music by Eugene Gassi and Heather Scott. The family thanks all involved. The family wishes to express their appreciation and thanks for the loving care and attention that the Staff of the Davey Home provided to Teresa during her residency. Memorial donations made to the FJ Davey Home Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
