Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital, on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the age of 72.
Predeceased by her husband Jim Blackburn. Loving mother of Tammy Duguay and Michael Blackburn (special daughter-in-law Michelle), and special step-mother of Mark Blackburn, Denise Richardson and the late Robert Blackburn. Much loved Nana of Logan and Morgan Blackburn, Dylan and Tyler, and great-nana of Felix James. Sister of the late Terry Duguay, John Duguay, and late Michael Mooney. Valarie will be missed by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special friend of Sheryl and Jolie. Will be missed by her fur-babies Jasmine and Sky.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522), on Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. Funeral service at 12:00 pm in the chapel. A reception will follow at the Moose Lodge (543 Trunk Road).
