Passed away with his children by his side on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the age of 51.
Beloved father and best friend to Joseph Frederick "Joey" Borden and Ashley Borden. Cherished son of Joan (nee Matthews) Gosbee (Howard) and the late Harold Borden. Dear brother of Debbie, Karen (Jamie) and James "Jimmy" (Jennifer). Fred was a proud and devoted father and was the ultimate Dad and always put his family first. He enjoyed many sports especially baseball and football. Fred was a strong man and was always there to lend a helping hand for anyone in need. He was the life of any party and always had a joke to share with family and friends; his contagious laugh will be missed by many. Fred had many obstacles throughout his life but he took challenges head on with strength and grace. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirt which he has passed on to his loving children.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date and he will be laid to rest at home in Halifax. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to Sick Kids Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
