It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Rick at home at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Karen for almost 25 years. Proud father of the late Adam. Also father to Dennis and Anne. Proud step-father of Lynne (Paul), Lacey (Jeff), Marnie (Jeff) and Penny (Jordan). "Pops" to 12 grandchildren. Special Godfather to Veronica (Tuna).
Rick was an avid fisherman and he enjoyed heavy metal music. Rick will be remembered for his amazing ability to tell stories while drinking a beer (Sasparilla). He had a real soft spot for animals, especially his cats Tango, Lucy, Junior and Smoky George. Rick spent his life working with his hands, and could fix or build anything. Rick always took great pride in his work and would say "We don't work for the good enough gang!"
As per Rick's wishes, a Celebration of Life for friends and family will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to TAAG would be greatly appreciated by the family.
