Peacefully passed away at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Saturday, August 14, 2021 and flew to Heaven after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a kind, gentle man that will be missed.  Airplanes especially his beloved Luscombe were his favorite recreational past time.  He was a proud member of COPA.  Ed was an Electrician for 47 years and was sparked by anything electrical or mechanical and enjoyed a challenge.  He operated his own electricial company in Dryden for many years.  He will be greatly missed by his wife Kathleen, step daughter (Kathy late Jeff) and his two grandsons, Alex and Grey and his favorite brother in law Barry. He was born in Dryden to Corraine and Donald Brisson and has one sister Donna (Bill). Neil and John are important members of his Dryden family.

His colleagues in Sault Ste. Marie have become like family. We would like to thank all the people who supported Ed with well wishes, prayers, card and flowers. Included are his Tombari family, the OCWA fellows, Searchmont guys, the crew at Smelter Bay. And a special thanks to Mary Lee, Gary, Larry and Connor.

Cancer is a nasty adversary and Ed and his family will forever be grateful to all the medical personel that did everything in their power in trying to eradicate the cancer and extend Ed’s life. A very special thank you to the ARCH staff that wrapped Ed and Kathleen in a wonderful loving embrance and their kindness was exceptional.

As Ed has requested, there is no funeral service but a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial donations (payable by cheque or online) to ARCH, COPA for Kids or your favorite charity would be appreciated by the family.  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Brisson family.

ED MAY YOUR INCREDIBLE SPIRIT SOAR FOREVER ON GILDED WINGS.
