Brock, Bernard - The family of Bernard Brock is saddened to announce his death on April 17, 2023 at the age of 90 years.

Bernard will be lovingly remembered by his cherished wife of 64 years Jo-Ann (Ritchie). He will be sadly missed by his sons Mark (Sharon), Murray (Kelly), and Brian (Jennifer). Poppa also will be missed by his grandson Jonathan. Lovingly remembered by his brother-in-law Kenneth Ritchie (Gloria). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Bernard was predeceased by his parents Henry and Alice Smith. Also predeceased by his siblings Bernice Robitaille (Noel), Stella Boychuk (Bill), Evan Smith (Marjorie), Doris Royal (Harvey) and Clarence Smith (Isabel), and brother and sister-in-laws Winnie Maitland (Harry), Ronald Ritchie, Stanley Ritchie (Queenie) and Wilbert Ritchie (Sharon).

Bernard was born in Thessalon, Ontario and grew up in the area helping on his family farm. In his teen years he worked on the construction of the Rayner Dam. Later he worked as a welder at A.B. McLean and Algoma Steel. He retired from Algoma Steel in 1992 where he was remembered by his workmates as a conscientious worker who could solve any problem which came his way.

Bernard was known by his family and friends as a generous, kind, and humble man. Many will remember his love of playing country music on his guitar while entertaining others. He also loved the outdoors, spending time fishing, hunting, camping and snowmobiling with friends and family. Bernard will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.

A memorial service will be held via Zoom Video Conference on Saturday April 29, 2023 at 3:00 pm. Mr. Timothy Nenchyn officiating.
