It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leonard (Len), who peacefully departed from this world on April 18, 2024, at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 74.  Len was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing.

Len will be dearly missed by those who loved him including his best friend Jack Curry of Espanola.  He will be forever remembered for his unwavering love for his wife Marie, his dedication to his family, and his willingness to lend a helping hand.  He grew up in Azilda and lived in Chelmsford throughout most of his adult life.  Len had a great passion for music, muscle cars, drag racing, camping, and woodwork.  He retired from Inco Limited in 2009 after serving 35 years as a Millwright at Clarabelle Mill.

As per Len’s wishes there will be no service, but a celebration of life will be held later in Chelmsford, Ontario.

We would like to thank the staff at the Sault Area Hospital, Alzheimer’s Society and Bayshore Home Health for their support during his difficult journey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society Sault Ste Marie & Algoma District.
