Peacefully passed away at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Edith for 61 years. Loving father of Carol Lynn Callahan (Rob), Lou-Anne Desroche (Conrad) and Richard Andrew Callahan (Linda). Cherished grandfather of 5. Brother of Eleanor Swanton (Bill), Bernice Crosby (Jim) and Peggy Suppa (Bill) and predeceased by Patrick (Sally), John (Janet) and Lorna Prins (Pieter). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Jocelyn Township, St. Joseph Island, on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rosalie Goos officiating. Spring interment at Jocelyn Cemetery. Memorial donations to Women in Crisis (Algoma) would be appreciated by the family.
