Ermes was a true friend to many, and the family would like to express their gratitude to Sandra Damignani for her enduring friendship and devotion to Mom.

Ermes was born and raised in Fano, Italy and moved to Canada in 1953. She met her husband Galdino in Niagara Falls, where they were also married. Ermes and Galdino settled in Sault Ste Marie, where they were deeply involved in the Italian community and raised their three children. Ermes was a member of the Elettra Marconi Society since March of 1963 and volunteered throughout the community. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Jerome’s Parish. She spoiled her family with incredible cooking and baking, and was skilled at sewing, knitting and crochet work. We will remember Ermes sipping her afternoon espresso and asking what we should make for dinner.
