It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Scotty on Saturday, August 26, 2023 in Sault Ste. Marie.

Scott was born in Kitchener, Ontario on September 10th, 1939. He married Elsie May Hallman in 1963 and together they raised 3 daughters. Scott was proud to identify as "Girl Dad".

Scott attended Kitchener Waterloo Collegiate and will be especially remembered for assembly performances. He carried this talent into his professional life in commercial radio, where he worked for 35 years as a disc jockey, programmer and manager. Scott loved to sing and performed in night clubs in Edmonton and London. As an amateur, he performed with the London Little Theatre playing leads in Picnic and Showboat, and in Edmonton in Oklahoma.

In the latter part of his professional life, Scott worked as a landscape photographer. He and Else made many friends as they sold his work on the art show circuit.

Scott was an avid golfer. In his last days he rode the cart for a game with his grandson, a very special time. As long as they lived near good hills the family skied together.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, their daughters Sheila, Cathy and Heather (Gary) and by their 9 grandchildren - Tamica, Andrew, Clara, Emily, Nicholas, Danielle, Michaela, Christopher and Jonathan. He is predeceased by his parents Andrew Cameron and Margaret Scott and sister Diane Heron.

As per Scott's wishes there will be no service and cremation has taken place. If you wish, please remember Scott with a gift to your favourite charity.

The family wishes to thank the oncology staff at SAH for giving Scott the time to spend with family who visited SSM in August to celebrate the 60th wedding anniversary and spend time with Dad and Grandpa. A special thanks to the nursing staff and SAH 3B for their gentle care in Scott's last days. A very special thanks to our guardian angel neighbours for their help and support.

Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street Easy 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Cameron family.
