Surrounded by family on Monday, April 10, 2023 at the age of 72.  Beloved husband of Sherri (nee McRae) for 15 years. Loving father of Michelle Palmer (Lorn), Crystal King (Mike), Danielle McLeod (Orry), Nicole Dubé (Bobby Mathieu), Amanda Barnes (Justin) and Krystal McRae (Steve). Grandad of Victoria and Richard Palmer, Liam, Hannah, Isaac Dubé and Jordan King, Camden and Seamus McLeod, Patrick and Vanessa Dubé, Charles and Violet Barnes, the late Grace, Hope (Brandon), Darius McRae and Harmony Nisbett. Great grandpa of Kinslee and Grayson McRae.  Predeceased by his parents Philip and Minnie Chadwick.  Dear brother of Deborah Chadwick.  Son-in-law of Frank and Lola McRae.  Brother-in-law of Dale McRae (Pinky). David will be remembered by relatives in Sault Ste. Marie and England.  

David was born August 9, 1950 in England.  He always talked fondly of growing up in Stoke-on-Trent.  In 1966, he moved with his family to Canada and settled in Sault Ste. Marie at the age of 16.  David retired from Algoma Steel after over 30 years.  In his retirement, he loved spending his summers at his trailer at Pointe des Chenes. He always had a passion for trains and history.

Family and friends are invited to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) on Monday, April 17 from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm.  Memorial service to follow at 1 pm.  Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.  Inurnment Greenwood Cemetery.  Memorial donation payable by cheque or online to Parkinson Canada (parkinson.ca), Sault Area Hospital Foundation or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Chadwick family.
