Surrounded by family at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the age of 81.  Beloved husband of Pierrette for 56 years.  Loving father of Pierre (Karen) Danielle Valiquette (Daniel).  Proud Grandpapa of Carvell, Keara and Marelie Chaperon, Dominique, Martin Valiquette (Ashley) and Céline Langelier (Patrice).  Cherished Great grandfather of Skyler and Charlie Valiquette and bébé Langelier.  Predeceased by his parents Laurent and Blandine and his brother Jean-Claude (Lynne) Chaperon.  Dear brother of Cécile Rocheleau (late Réjean) and Denise Rowlandson (Paul).  Brother-in-law of Jacqueline Lenchak (late John).  Also surrvided by many nieces and nephews.  Julien had a love and passion for educating young minds.  He influenced many students during his 35 years of teaching at St. James Separate School and at Alexander Henry High School.  He devoted many years with the Knights of Columbus.  He had the honour and privilege to act as the District Deputy of District 38 and the Grand Chevalier du Conseil des Grands Lacs #7999.  Friends are invited to Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E, 705-759-2522) on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 6 pm to 9 pm.  Funeral mass to be celebrated from la Paroisse Sainte-Marie-du-Sault (847 Trunk Rd.) on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 11 am.  Rev. Jean-Pierre Mukuna officiating.  Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.  The Chaperon family would like to thank the nursing staff at Extendicare Maple View, Tunnel Lake for their care and compassion.
