We, the family of Irene Church celebrate her life, love, indomitable spirit, strength and caring heart that make us love her so much. Irene passed quietly from this earth to a better place on Monday, August 8, 2005 after a lengthly illness. You will be sadly missed by your devoted husband of 40 years David Victor Church, daughter Carol Mattalo (nee Church), your grandchildren Dalton and Vanessa who will always love their 'Baba', her brother Edward Riedel (Barb), niece Sylvia Riedel, nephew Stephen Riedel (Tami), special sister-in-law Helen Young (Mervyn). Sisters-in-law Grace Reid (Ted), Lucy Garside (Reg), Florence Church (Bill) and Lloyd Church (Eleonor) and also missed by her special friend Lillian Nelson. She is predeceased by Joe Church and Alan Church (Shirley). Irene will be missed by many other nieces and nephews. A private funeral service was held at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) with cremation to follow. Final resting place among family at Grace United Cemetery on St. Joseph Island. Memorial donations made to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Irene your family love and miss you; but you will live on forever in our hearts. You will never be truly gone because your life lives on in the love you leave behind in all of us.
