Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday January 24, 2018 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Norman Clarke of Ottawa. Loving mother of Jackie Tonner (Doug) of Guelph and the late Brenda Lailey (Bob) of Sault Ste. Marie. Proud grandmother of Nuala Aikins (Mike), Derek Kehr, Andrea Holder, Christine Roussel (Jean-Luc) and Rob Lailey (Shannon). Great grandmother of 8. Last surviving sibling of 10, all originally of Guyana. Florence will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Florence will be remembered for her Christian faith, her selfless deeds and caring nature for all. A memorial service in Ottawa will be planned for the spring with details to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Luke's Cathedral of Sault Ste. Marie, St. Mark's Anglican of Ottawa or Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be greatly appreciated.
