Micheline Louise (Pickersgill) Clawson

Peacefully passed into the presence of Jesus, her Lord and Saviour, surrounded by family at home in Ocala Florida, on Sunday August 21, 2022. Wife of Robert (Wil) Clawson of 25 years. Daughter of the late Paul Otis and the late Giselle Pickersgill (the late Bruce Pickersgill). Sister of Alain Pickersgill (Cyndy) and the late Donald Pickersgill and the niece of Gerard and Yvonne Otis. Loving mother and grandmother of John Clawson (Becky), Maggie Powell (Jason), Hannah Clawson and their children, Molly Anne, Eli and Joshua, Exciting aunt who will be missed by many nieces and nephews as well as her good friends.

Born in Northern Quebec on July 30, 1957, and at a young age moved with her family to Goulais River, Ontario. Living on the north shore of Lake Superior, Micheline had a love of the great outdoors and fishing summer and winter. A strong feature of her entire life was her love for all animals, especially for her dogs and horses. In fact as a young teenager she got her first horse, Chief. Anyone who knew Micheline would know of her team of huskies. She introduced many school children and friends to the sport of dog sledding. She also patiently and successfully taught many students at her driving school.

When Micheline was in her teens, she was introduced to Jesus by her school bus driver and began to attend Northland Bible Chapel. From that time on, Micheline lived to serve her Saviour and all whom she met. A serious and disabling accident completely changed her lifestyle, but only served to enhance her commitment and trust in the Lord Jesus.

As a Christian, Michelangelo believed in the value of every human life including the lives of the unborn. Micheline lived out this belief as an active member of the Sault Ste. Marie Pro-Life Movement.

There will be a memorial service at Bethany Baptist Church, 1074 Second Line W, Sault Ste, Marie, Ontario on October 8, 2022 at 11 a.m.
