It is with broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Marie Coleffi, who left this world on Saturday, March 11, 2023, to make her final journey, into the arms of her Lord, and Saviour.
Marie came into this world 97 years ago in Kerrobert, Sask. When Marie was 9 years old her family packed up the ‘29 Model T, and the family moved to Kelowna B.C. Years later she left Kelowna moving to Vancouver.
Marie’s next big journey was in 1944, by train, which took her halfway across Canada to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. There she married Gordon, whom she had met at a dance in Vernon, B.C., a few months prior. Marie and Gordon were married for 62 years. They had 3 children and a lifetime of memories together.
Marie has been reunited with the love of her life, Gordon Coleffi (March 23, 2007). Also waiting to welcome her, are her parents, Katherine and Adam Halter, and her many brothers and sisters.
The loss of this beautiful soul is being mourned by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Children, Brian Coleffi (Denise) Lynn Clargo (Brian), and Kim St. Pierre (Robert). Grandchildren, Tricia Guerriero, Marcie Kember, Brilyn Scholke (Matthew), Kyleigh Seabrook (Scott), Jordan Clargo (Maya) and David St.Pierre. Great-grandchildren, Andrew Kember, Ethan Kember, Ella Scholke, Max Scholke, Rowan Seabrook, Olive Seabrook,and the late Zahara Clargo. Marie is survived by her two sisters, Francis Pollard (late Everett) of Regina, Sask. and RoseMarie Ward, (late Frank) of Kelowna, B.C. Marie will also be mourned by her many nieces and nephews from both the Halter and Coleffi families.
Thank you for the extraordinary care and compassion given to Marie at SAH. Special thanks to Jenny Waugh, Dr. Nicki Apostle, and the marvellous nurses, RPN’s and PSW’s on units 3C, 2B, 2C and Palliative Care. She fell in love with you and you with her!
Joyce Michaluck, you were a wonderful friend to her. She looked forward to spending time with you every day. Thanks go out to GNRH for the care she received.
