Home. Pat is home where he has been longing to be.  Holding Heather's hand, he passed peacefully at ARCH Hospice in his 75th year, on August 22, 2022.

Beloved husband of Heather for 52 years.  Dear father of Rebecca and James Kemp and Bill.  Much loved "Grumpa" of Tristan, Amber and Kassi, Robert and Alyssa.  How his eyes would light up when he saw little Ethan, Benjamin and Olivia!  Son of the late Harold and Ruby Collins.  Dear brother of Carolyn and Jonathan Chapman and Steven and Paula Collins.  Son-in-law of the late Bill and Alice Johnston.  Remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

This two year journey with Glioblastoma would have been impossible without the help of so many people.  We had an army of people praying for us - it was your prayers that gave us strength.

Bayshore nurse Amy - you were a God-send to us and we are so grateful to you. Special thanks to Bryce, Emjay, Monique and April.  Your care and willingness to help will never be forgotten.  Many thanks for the compassionate care from PSWs Janna, Sarah, Karlee, Amy, Kassie and Cameron.

To our neighbours and friends, especially Barry, Marcel, Allan, Dave, Dan and Jo - thank you is not enough for the love and care shown to us.  To my cousins, thank you for your love and support, meals, tarts and rides - you are the best.

To the angels at ARCH, your compassion and care was a blessing to our family when we needed you most.  Thank you.

Friends are invited to visit with family at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 6 pm to 9 pm.  Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 1 pm.  Mr. Dean Anderson officiating.  Friends are invited to view the service online starting at 1 pm on Friday, August 26, 2022 and can be viewed anytime up to 90 days.  Go to www.funeraweb.tv and select Pat's name to view the service.  Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery.  Friends are invited to Pat and Heather's at 4 pm for Heather's version of Pat's "tea and cookies".  Please bring your own lawn chair.
