On the first day of spring, March 21, 2003, Tom left this world surrounded by people he loved. Tom faced his death with a calm and strong belief that death in not an ending but a new beginning. Tom was Cheryl?s devoted husband and soul mate for 25 years. He loved and nourished well his children Shelley (Paul Rose), Tom Jr. (Roberta), Dawn (Billy-Jack Ebare) and his grandchildren Rory, Amber, Dakota, Rhylee and Paige. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Marion and brother Grant. Tom's sisters Barb Thomson (Chuck) and Wendy Dugall (Richard) were an important part of his life. Tom will be missed by his second family Bill and Mary Lethbridge, Ron (Linda), Janice Martineau (Bob Thomas) and Bill Jr. (Kathy Stanley). Always a strong advocate for young people, Tom leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews and many others in the community who had the pleasure of his friendship. His good friends Eugene and Lucille Poirrier and Glen and Cindy Lillie helped fill Tom's life with love and happiness. Friends any family are invited to share in a celebration of Tom's life at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, March 23, 2003 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. In support of Tom's strong community involvement, donations to the Soup Kitchen or Special Olympics would be appreciated by the family.
