December 6, 1931 - January 4, 2023 - It is with regret that the family announces the passing of Bob Palmer at the age of 91. Bob passed peacefully at Mapleview Nursing Home after spending a week with his family at his bedside.

Much loved husband of Barbara Palmer (Pace) for 61 years. Proud father of Beth Nixon (late Ian), Michael (Masha) and Rodney (Patti). Grandpa to Jed, Nora, Hilary, Joshua, Emma, Andrew, and Matthew. Brother to the late Bud, Joyce, and Betty. Special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law to the late Lorne Pace (Jean), Jack Pace (Fay) and Marie Gjos (late Gary).

Bob was born in 1931 on the family farm in Wharncliffe, north of Thessalon. He spent his career teaching woodshop in the Sault at Central School, Collegiate, and Alexander Henry. In his long 35 years of retirement he traveled the world and enjoyed his grandchildren. Bob devoted thousands of volunteer hours at Camp McDougall for the United Church and was always happiest building or fixing something around the house, or his family cottage at Cumming's Lake.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff on the Ranger Lake Ward of Mapleview Nursing Home for their compassion and care of Bob over the last years of his life.
