Christine Audrey Croft, 49, known to family and close friends as Chrissy, died September 10, 2021, of metastatic breast cancer surrounded by her loved ones. Christine was the cherished daughter of Gerrie and Keith Croft; She was a loving mother to her two sons Connor MacNeil and Eammon MacNeil; Sister and best friend to Kerry Joncas and her husband Rusty Joncas; Favourite aunty to her nephews Tanner Joncas and Landon Joncas.
Christine was always the life of the party with a fierce zest for life. She left an unforgettable impression on everyone that she met, no matter how brief. She always believed in making others feel good, going out of her way to befriend and compliment complete strangers, with only the intention of brightening their day.
Christine spent 20 years of her life in Nova Scotia where she is loved by many. She was a valued employee at Sobeys in Fall River, where she worked for over a decade. She was an eclectic collector of all things nostalgic, with a passion for thrifting, yard sales and classic music. A lifelong fan of The Tragically Hip and Gord Downie, who introduced her to the injustices against the indigenous community, which she heavily advocated for. She loved to spend her free time in the water, taking any opportunity to spend time near water with her oldest friend Colette and family. She was a true crime fanatic, consuming any books, podcasts, and TV shows she could.
Thank you to the nurses who treated her with such kindness and concern for her comfort; Dr. Barnes, Dr. Voutsadakis and Dr. Murphy who gave her excellent care. Thank you to the dietary and front desk staff at the NSHN who went above and beyond. Thank you to Erica Budge for giving her such a great companion in Gizmo.
