We regret to announce that William Allan Cudlipp passed away at the Sault Area Hospital on February 9, 2022 at the age of 89.

He is predeceased by his parents Raymond and Elgantine, and by his youngest son Jimmy Cudlipp (Kim).  He is survived by his children Kim Cudlipp (Maureen) of British Columbia, Leah Ann Charlebois (Peter) of Sault Ste. Marie, Mary-Jane Surrett of Windsor, ON, Shawn Lariviere of St. Joseph’s Island, and Melanie Burrell (Richard) of Folley, Alabama.  Grandfather of Sarah, Mary-Ann, Daniel, Patrick, Billy-Lee, Sandra, Sabrina, Michael, Bradley, Tianna, Karissa, Billy-Joe, Andrea, and Tiffany.  He will be remembered, as well, by his great-grandchildren, and by his numerous relatives in the extended Cudlipp and Dool families.  Brother of Helen Douville (Joseph) of Sault Ste. Marie, and uncle of Steven, David, and Bruce. Friend of Daniel Brochu and Karolee Gair, who were a consistent presence throughout Allan’s final years.

In accordance with Allan’s wishes, a private graveside service will take place at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sault Ste. Marie, officiated by Rev. James McShane.  Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E 705-759-2522). Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 25 (Sault Ste. Marie).

We wish to thank the many doctors, nurses and staff of the Sault and Area Hospital who cared for Allan in the last two months of his life.  Special thanks, as well, to Karolee Gair for her attentiveness to Allan throughout his hospitalization.
