We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Scott Cudmore on March 21, 2019, in his 28th year.

Scott was the beloved son of Lori McQueen (Jim Verdoni) and Greg Cudmore (Johanna). He was the cherished grandson of the late William and Georgina McQueen, and Royce and Theresa Cudmore, and treasured stepgrandson to Jim and Pat Verdoni, the late Guido and Lillian Parissenti. Scott was the little brother and fierce protector of his big sister Erin, who adored him since the day he was born. The wonderful memories they shared growing up together along with their fluffball Oliver, will never be forgotten. Scott was a stepbrother to Lindsey Marshall (Scott Hill), Melissa Verdoni, A.J. Marshall (Candace), Andrew Verdoni, Kathryn Verdoni (Casey) and a loving uncle to Austin and Bradley Marshall.

Jamie Fabbro was the love of Scott's life, as he was hers. The two met and fell in love immediately. They built a life and a love story together with their furbabies Zara and Blue. He quickly became son to Ann Marie Hammond, brother to Jessica Fabbro (Kayla) and adored member of the Hammond and Fabbro families.

Scott's sense of adventure, determination and love of life are now carried on in the hearts of his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Drawn to high places, Scott was a proud Iron Worker, alongside his brothers in arms as a member of Iron Worker’s Union Local 786.

Loving and generous, Scott would have given a stranger the shirt off his back, and was constantly helping others by putting their needs before his own. He was also a registered organ donor. Even though this time he wasn’t able to give that gift, Scott would have wanted to save lives another way: if you are battling against some of the same struggles with mental health and addiction he fought over the years, please seek help, remember you are not alone, and don’t give up before the miracle happens.

Though we had to say goodbye much too soon, family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Scott’s life on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 6 to 9 pm at the Grand Gardens Downtown. We welcome and encourage everyone to come with their favourite memories and stories to share.

In honour of his heroes, his grandparents who fought in World War II, a donation to the Legion Poppy Fund in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by Scott's family.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home (492 Wellington St. E, 705-759-2522).
