On the morning of Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024, at the age of 80, Pauline Marie Blanche Dallaire began her next chapter, as she was welcomed home into Jesus’s arms. Pauline entered Heaven’s gates with her daughter, Cindy Dallaire, and granddaughter, Amanda Nelson, at her side. Pauline was a fun, loving and sassy woman, who was a fierce defender of those she loved. She will be remembered as someone who loved whole-heartedly, was never afraid to be her genuine self and who always spoke her mind. She was a lover of animals, nature, food, music (dancing and singing along to her favourite songs), and spending quality time with friends and family. She adored her granddaughter, Amanda, whom of which she had an extra special bond with.
Loving wife of the late John Furst Dallaire, mother of Cindy Dallaire, sister to Irene Nott, the late Arthur Rancourt, the late Roger Rancourt, the late Agnes Mitchell, the late Beatrice Mitchell, and the late Lillian Tousignant. She was the loving sister-in-law to Valentine Reynolds, Fay Miller, Willeen Page, the late Violet Somes, and the late Ernestine O’Donnell. Grandmother and best-friend of Amanda Nelson. She was a special aunt to many. She will be dearly missed by family friend Terry Humphry, who was a huge support in her life, especially as her COPD progressed.
We would like to send a special thanks to our family doctor, Dr. Adrianna Schamp, and her team at the Group Health Centre, who always ensured that Pauline received high quality and personable care. We would like to extend our gratitude to all doctors, nurses, and personal support workers at Sault Area Hospital who were involved in not only her end-of-life care, but throughout the years of many hospital visits as her disease progressed. We would additionally like to send our thanks to the many personal support workers and nurses from Bayshore, Care Partners, and workers at Medigas, that tended to her needs over the years. Many of you held such a special place in her heart and she considered you friends – please know how grateful we are for those bonds. Lastly, we would like to acknowledge the kindness and diligence that was given over the years by numerous paramedics in our community, in assisting with her care.
Mom,
Saying goodbye to you is the hardest thing I have ever had to do.
You were not only my mother, you were a true friend; we were always beside each other through good times as well as the hadrons. Now you are at peace with Jesus and have no more suffering. l want you to know that you are a part of me and l will miss you dearly every day.
Missing you.
Loving you always.
Your daughter,
