Passed away at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at the age of 84. Loving husband of Vera (nee Tanner). Son of the late Jack & Louise Desjardins of St. Joseph Island. Cherished father of Armond (Linda), Edna (late Lloyd) (friend Neil), Yvonne (Ron), Elaine (Mick) Brenda (John) and Marilyn (Brendan). Grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 17. Uncle of Jacklin and Thomas (Lori) Desjardins. Fred is predeceased by his son Charlie and many brothers and sisters. Fred was a foreman for the City of Sault Ste. Marie for 25 years as a lead hand driver. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, November 7, 2003 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service from the chapel on Saturday, November 8, 2003 at 10 am. Rev. Jerry Lazoryk officiating. Interment Richards Landing Cemetery.
