After a courageous battle with cancer, Fernando DiCandia passed away, surrounded by his family on Monday, September 27, 2004 at the age of 68 years. Beloved husband for 45 years of Marilena (Granata). Loving father of; Patricia, Paula, Marla and Luana (Dave). Adoring grandfather of Shawn and Trevor McNutt. Dear son of Linda DiCandia (late Mauro) of Italy, brother of Remo (Bianca) and Romolo (Pina) of Italy. Uncle to; Linda Pekalski (Buddy), Carlo (Karen), Brita, Maurizio (Pina) and Deborah. Son-in-law of Amalia Granata (late Nicola). Brother-in-law of; Al Granata (Elma), Ermidio Granata (Emilia) and Liana D'Angelo (Donato). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Thursday, September 30, 2004 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church for funeral mass at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Michael Williams officiating. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospital Community Cancer Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
