Peacefully at the Finnish Resthome on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Mary (Krmpotich-Stilin) for 32 years and of Margaret (Johnson) for 26 years. Loving father of Genevieve Beaton, Evedine Turner (Charles) and the late David Doucette. Step father of Marilyn Boschetto (late Richard). Cherished grandfather of Lisa Boyd, Shawna Beaton (Darin Bellrose), Steven and Johnny Beaton, Joey Turner, Kelly Jo Losier (Ron), Justin, Stephen and Nicky Lynn Doucette, Anna Lee and Michael Boschetto. Great grandfather of 9. George was the youngest of 15 predeceased brothers and sisters and the son of the late Martin and Matilda Doucette of Cheticamp, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia and will be fondly remembered by many relatives in Cape Breton. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, September 30, 2005 from 6-9 pm. Prayers to be celebrated at 7:30pm. Funeral mass from Our Lady of the Highway on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at 10 am. Rev. Veselko Kvesic officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Our Lady of the Highway Catholic Church or to the Ontario Finnish Resthome would be appreciated by the family.
