Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Mapleview at the age of 93 with her family by her side. Cherished mother of Roger Drolet (Sue) of Orleans Ontario, Kathleen Spadoni (Dave) and late Michel Drolet. Much loved grandmother of Robert Drolet (Aimee), Jake Drolet, Shannon Spadoni and late Jordy Drolet.
Great-grandmother of Preston, Natashia, Jace, Hermione and Auston Drolet. Lovingly remembered by her niece Claudette Taft (Clayton), her nephews Dennis and Peter Carr (Nicole), and extended family in Ontario and Quebec. Predeceased by her parents Marie and Archie Miron, siblings Isabelle Wursluk, Jacqueline Colquhoun, Arthur Miron, and the father of her children Claude Drolet (surviving Diane).

Lena was born and raised in Blind River Ontario and moved to Sault Ste. Marie in 1969. She worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses in the Sault, most notably she was employed at Dr. Snider’s Dental Office for 23 years, retiring at the age of 80.

Mom was a proud member of the Precious Blood Cathedral choir and traveled to Rome in 2000 to sing for the Pope. She loved baseball and golf and used to frequently travel to Toronto to cheer on her beloved Blue Jays. She also had the opportunity to volunteer at the 1991 Blue Jay Fanfest.

The family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Mapleview, especially the third floor Twin Lakes unit, for all the care you provided our mom over the six and a half years she resided there. We are especially grateful for the compassion given to her during her final days, and how attentive everyone was to her needs and ours.

As per Lena’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Memorial contributions in memory of Lena may be made (payable by cheque or online) to Extendicare Mapleview Residents Council, the Jays Care Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Drolet family.
