Passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the age of 90.
Beloved husband of the late Claire (nee Michaud). Loving father of Paulette Catalano (late William "Bill"), Lise Lalonde (Michel "Mickey"), and Marc Dubie (Krista). Grandpapa of James Catalano, Anne-Marie Catalano, Andrea Bazinet (Kevin), Robert Lalonde (Julie Perrone), Chloe Lalonde (Sean Hayes), Jean-Michel Lalonde (Meggan Fallas), Jordan Dubie (Justin Warne), Amelia Dubie (Jon Fisher), and Nicholas Dubie. Great-Grandpapa of Alyssa, Taylor, Corbin, William, Samuel, Caemon, Chase, Lennox, Cody, Blake, Maksen, Josie-Claire, and Jack.
Maurice was a retired teacher from the Sudbury District School Board. He worked there for over 25 years. In retirement, he enjoyed playing golf, curling and baseball, building model boats and gardening, both flowers and vegetables. He was involved with Club Amical in Sudbury for many years. He was a snowbird, visiting Lakeland, Florida with Claire.
At Maurice's request, cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions payable by cheque or online to the Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
