It is with heavy hearts we announce that on Sunday, January 21, 2018, mom joined her loving husband Russell. Born June 20, 1930, in Corbeil, ON, mom was one of 11 children of the late Kilda & Alfred Desjardins. Growing up on a rural farm, mom knew what hard work was all about. She gave everything she did 110% and went on to marry the love of her life and raise 5 children with the same values and respect she was raised with. Mom leaves behind her children: Linda Dunn (Paul), Sandy Power (Paul), Steven (Grace), Judy Bentham (Jason) and Adam. Mom adored her grandchildren which she loved more than anything: Patrick (Kathleen), Thomas (Katrina), Robert (Casey), Stacey (Kevin), Mackenzie and her great grandchildren Shawna & James. Mom is survived by her remaining siblings Marie-Reine Lefebvre and Leonard (Audrey) Desjardins. She is predeceased by her son Cecile; sisters Yvette Scott, Anita Lafontaine, Mariette Gervais and Reina Keyes; brothers Maurice, Roger, Tony and Ovila Desjardins. Mom will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. The family want to thank all those that helped to take care of mom including Drs. Patterson and Berry; her PSW’s and the incredible staff of the ICU at Sault Area Hospital who allowed her to die with dignity and peace. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation as per mom’s wishes. We love you mom, say hi to Dad for us. Until we meet again….
