Passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Monday, July 5, 2021 in his 80th year. John was born August 19, 1941 in White River, Ontario.
John is now reunited with his beloved wife Marlene Dzyngel (nee Bush). Loving father of Dana-Lynn Dzyngel (late Mark Carnaroli), Keith Dzyngel (Suzanne), Trevor Dzyngel (Jeanne), Jody-Anne Dzyngel and Lloyd Dzyngel. Proud Papa D of Ryan (Katherine), Amy, Trina (Jon), Jonathan, Jessy (Gilles), Jonni (Nick), Kelsey, Brett, Tyler and Adam. Proud Great-Grandpa of Kayla (Jared), Riley (Misty), Hailey, Morgan, Brody, Tommy, Jayde, Juliana and Noah and a very special Great-Great-Grandpa of Dawson and Aubrey-Lee. Predeceased by his parents John and Pearl Dzyngel. Dear brother of the late Irene Dzyngel, late Helen St Louis (late Rolland Marchand), late Doris Rudy (late Pete), Amelia Yanta (late Bert), Ed Dzyngel (late Beverly), Mary Rowsell (Cliff) and brother-in-law of the late Leo St Louis. Son-in-law of the late Lloyd and late Annie Bush. Brother-in-law of the late Sheila Stevens (late Morris), and Janice Gratton (late Ronald). John will be fondly remembered by countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
John was a proud family man who would do anything for his children and grandchildren. He had a love for the outdoors and was always happy to be hunting, fishing or playing bingo in his spare time. His favourite place to be was with family and friends at his paradise, Pancake Bay. John was well known as Mr. Fix It and would always lend a hand to family and friends when needed. He was a very talented carpenter and Jack of all trades. John worked at Algoma Steel for over 30 years and will be deeply missed by many friends he made over the years. He had many passions in life, some of which included bowling, playing darts, dancing and hockey.
A private Memorial Mass celebrated from St. Gregory's Catholic Church with Rev. Trevor Scarfone officiating. Interment at Hillside Cemetery, Blind River. A special thank you to Kathy and Nina from Bayshore for their care and compassion during his final days. The family would like to express their gratitude to James, Jim and all the caring staff from CBI. The family is very grateful for the care and support from Brad Jarred of LHIN.
