EDDY, Lane David Fay went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on the evening of Tuesday, April 18, 2023 in his 83rd year.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Glenys (nee Tanner), daughter Elizabeth (Darrell) McNeely, son Ian Eddy, 6 grandchildren-in-love and 5 great grandchildren-in-love. Also mourning his passing are his sister Linda (Garfield) Tucker, sister-in-law Diane (Greg) Ross, brother-in-law Wesley Tanner, two Aunts and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Annie (Duggan) Eddy, his brothers Elgin and Bob Eddy, a sister-in-law Donna (late Budd) Kent and a brother-in-law Kenneth Tanner.

He was pastor in the Free Methodist Church throughout Western Canada and in Michigan for over 42 years. In his retirement, he filled pulpits for many different denominational churches.

Visitation and funeral will be held at the St. Joseph Island Free Methodist Church (corner of Hilton Road and the 10th Side Road) on Saturday, May 6, 2023 with the visitation starting at 1:00 pm followed by the funeral service at 3:00 pm. Interment will be in Mountain Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Lane's memory may be made (payable by cheque or online) to The Free Methodist Church Ministries Center, St. Joseph Island Free Methodist Church, or ARCH.  Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522).
