To past friends who knew my mother as Anne Nott. Peacefully at the QHC - Trenton Memorial Hospital on Sunday May 29, 2005 at the age of 82 years. Anne Ethelston was born in Winnipeg and left for Kingston in 1945 and again to Sault Ste. Marie in 1946. She then moved on to Batawa where she worked for Bata in 1966 and ended up in Trenton in 1972. She was employed with Bata for 18 years and retired in 1984. Member of Seniors Club 105, Past President and player of Golden Age Bowling Leagues (1990-1991) and Trenton Horse Shoe League (1993). Anne enjoyed especially her grandchildren and hobbies like camping, horeseshoes bowling and traveling. Beloved wife of the late Joseph and Catherine Picton. Loving mother of Greg and Theresa Nott of Brampton and loving step mother of Steven and Judy Ethelston of St. Thomas, Michael and Debbie Ethelston, Carol and Barry Wood all of London. Dear grandmother of Ryan and Kyle Nott, Tricia and Craig Ethelston, Sarah and Tyler Wood. Survived by siblings Joyce Bryant and June Tousignant and predeceased by Harry Picton. "Had a good time during her lifetime, but cancer took her too soon."
