It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of our Fred. He passed away at age 79, on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
Devoted husband of Eva (nee Podolski) to whom he had been married for 57 years. Beloved dad of Kimberly Facca (James Barltrop) of Oakville and Melanie Facca (Steven Goth) of Burlington. Proud and loving Pop-Pop of Hannah, Max, Chloe, Charlie and Sadie, in each of whom we see some of his most wonderful traits.
He will be dearly missed by his sister-in-law Lori Podolski, and his siblings Sandra Gorassini, Daniela Facca and Eddy Facca. Our Mr. Fix-it lives on in the memories we share and will be forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
As per Fred's wishes, and those of his family, a private cremation will be taking place. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday November 23, 2024 from 4-6 p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Sunday November 24, 2024 at 1 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Juravinski Cancer Centre, the MS Society or the Kidney Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
