Passed away peacefully at Sault Area Hospital with family by his side on Friday, March 6, 2020 at the age of 65. Best friend and soulmate of Lisa Figures (nee Nenonen) for 50 years. Devoted father of Matthew Figures (Meagan) and Christopher Figures. Adoring papa of Macy, Leighton and Lilah. Predeceased by his parents Clifford and Ruth Figures. Dear twin brother of Michele Hindermeier (Rick). Son-in-law of Alice Nenonen and the late Leo Nenonen. Brother-in-law of Lori Maunu (late Richard) and Michael Nenonen (Pina). Special uncle of Ricki (Sammi-Jo), Warren (Kelly), Mark, Bridgit (Loren), Ryan (Lianna), Mika and Maija. Mike will be missed and fondly remembered by his extended family, his co-workers and friends. Family always came first and his boys were his pride and joy. Their education and hockey were of great importance to him and was always involved as a supportive dad and coach. He worked as a Civil Engineering Technologist for MRW and Associates and Ellis Don for 40 years and truly enjoyed the challenges in that line of work. Mike was an avid handyman and took great pride in his projects at our family camp; his favourite place to relax with family and friends. A private family gathering has been held and a celebration of life will take place at a future date. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque) to SAH Cancer Care Fund or Zion Lutheran Church.
