It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mae Filipowicz. She passed peacefully at Sault Area Hospital with her son by her side holding her hand on Tuesday July 30, 2024, three weeks shy of her 95th birthday.
Predeceased by her parents Laurine and Herbert McHarrie, and sister Catherine McHarrie. Beloved wife of the late John Filipowicz. Loving mother of Bob Filipowicz (Jennifer). Fondly remembered by longtime friends Wanda and Denzil Rathbone.
Mae was a long-time member and Elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church and enjoyed spending time with her church family.
Friends may visit the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street E. 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral service on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 11:00 am in Westminster Presbyterian Church. Rev. John Wilson and Rev. Dr. Charlene Wilson officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
