(1938 – 2022) – It is with deep sadness that the family of Fred announces his peaceful passing at home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Patricia Ann (nee Gagnon) for 63 years. Cherished and loving father of Richard, Peggy Sue, Brenda Lee and Barbie Lynn. Proud grandfather of Tina Folz, Derek Folz, Bryan Milne, Mackenzie Naslovar and Alex Rudnicki. Honoured great grandfather of Keijah, Nodin, Garett, Christian and Cage. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Philomene Folz. Brother of the late Wilfred Folz (Saya), late Angelina Hanna (Bill), late Frank (late Ella), late Gerry Folz (Betty), late Don Folz (late Betty Anne), late Patrick Folz (late Shirley), and survived by his special “baby” sister, Beatrice Dufour (Gilles).
Our precious strong and resilient husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather endured his battle with Leukemia for 30 years and then bone cancer. He was a man of integrity and strength and a father figure to many who knew him.
A celebration of Fred’s life will be held at the Grand Gardens on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Leukemia Society of Canada or the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
