Roger Fremlin, age 88 passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
Roger was born in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario raised in Bar River, Dairy Farming on the Fremlin Homestead.
Predeceased by his wife Patricia Louise Martin. Cherished father of Martin (Karen), Colleen (Raymond), Melinda (Gerard) and Kelly (Daryl). Loving grandfather of Misty (Kris), Roger (Chelsea), Levi (Katharina), Maggie (Samuel), David (Dana), Wilson, Ben, Helen (Alex), Elizabeth (Chris), Warren, Brad (Melissa), Lisa (Henry), Ashton (Matthew), Jordan (Aurora), Kelly, Michaela (Tim), Andrew, Dustin (Brittany), Kathrine and Patricia. Great Grandfather of Atreyu, Charlotte, Isaiah, Violet, Ruby, Poppy, Isabella, Elias, Felix, Amelia, Emerson, Hazel, Nora, George, Henry, Jack, Mabel, Edward, Thomas, Brooke, Azariah, Elijah, Gideon, Jethro, Galia and Sapphira. Survived by his sisters Girlie and Beth and sisters in law Marilyn (Brian) and Janice (Jim).
Roger was very active in the community. Especially dear to his heart was the Central Algoma Board of Education (Building CASS), Elder in the Knox Presbyterian Church and founding member of the North Shore Agricultural Society (Laird Fair).
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to CASS towards a student going into the field of Agriculture.
Visitation to be held at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton and Kiteley Chapel, 492 Wellington St E, Sault Ste. Marie, on Wednesday September 20 from 6PM - 9PM. Service to be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Thursday September 21 at 11AM. Burial to follow at Laird Cemetery.
