GASSI, Bruno – Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, February 20, 2005 at the age of 88 years. Loving husband of Mary (nee Scarfone). Dear father of Gloria, the late Angela, Charles (Francine), Carmen (Carol), Vince (Alison) and Eugene. Grandfather of Ryan, Rachel, Christopher, Conlan, Daniela, Vincent, Christian, Carley and Gabriel. Son of the late Charles and Vincenza Gassi. Brother of the late Frank (late Christine), Anne Laccabue (late Jim), late Jackie Lorenzo (late Frank), Aurora Butkovich (Tom) and the late Remo (June). Son-in-law of the late Carmen and Eugenia Scarfone. Brother-in-law of the late Tony (late Antoinette), late Joe (Lucy), late Nora Ferroni (late John), late Emilio (late Olga), late Rocco (Beryl), Josephine Lorenzo (late Albert), late Mike (late Mona), Eugene “Sparky” (Ann) and Lillian Soltys (late Walter). Also grandfather of Michael and Mikayla. Special friend to Wendy and Kathleen. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Bruno worked at Algoma Steel for 42 years before beginning his second career of 25 years at Aurora’s Pizza and Spaghetti House, McNabb Street. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Precious Blood Cathedral with Monsignor Bernard Burns presiding.
