GENYS, Rebecca Ann

Passed away at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the age of 59. Devoted wife of Joe for 22 years.  Rebecca will be remembered by her step-son Craig Genys. Daughter of Reverend Paul and Ida Royster. Dear sister of Deborah Weaver and Samuel Royster (Cynthia). Daughter-in- law of Ignas and Pauline Genys. Sister-in-law of Sonny (Dorothy), Albert (Jackie), John Shoust (Donalma), Brian Shoust, the late Mary Kelly “Bunny” (Bill) and Susan Panke (Brent).  Special Aunt of Nathan Weaver (Britt) and survived by nieces and nephews and her 3 great nephews. Rebecca had a zest for life and could light up a room with her beautiful smile. She loved people, and helping anyone in need. Rebecca loved tending to her gardens and flowers and she did it so well. She will be dearly missed by her extended family, friends and all who knew her. At Rebecca’s request she will be laid to rest with her family in Kentucky. A memorial service will be held in the Sault, details will be released at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).  Memorial donations made to the Soup Kitchen would be appreciated by the family.
