It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Dora Gervasi on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at the age of 83. Predeceased by her husband, Gino, in 1999. Dora leaves to mourn her devoted daughter Barbara and her husband Ian McMillan and four loving grandsons: Shane, Kerry, Ryan and Drew, whom she loved unconditionally. Dora also leaves behind her sisters-in-law Mary Belsito (late John), Lena Luciani (Bert), Rose Huard (Ron) and the late Anna & Carmen Belsito. Dora was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Assunta Miceli (Joe), Ralph Aiello (Mary, Yolanda), Gilda Mendicino (Ralph), Charlie Aiello (Lilly), Mary Amendola (Albert) and Angeline Beyette (Russ) and Helen Cerenzie (Pat). Dora will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. For many years, Dora worked as an enthusiastic volunteer for the General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary contributing her time and creative talent. Friends and family will gather at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, September 16, 2005 from 9 am until 11am. Funeral mass and a celebration of her life to be held at St. Jerome’s Church at 11:30 am. Rev. George LaPierre officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Sault Area Hospital Operating Room Unit would be appreciated by the family.
