Maria Graham, 89, of Peterborough, Ontario passed away on September 23, 2024. She was born in Mexico in 1935 to the late Celia and the late José Garcia. Wife of the late Clifford Graham. She met Clifford on the beach in Acapulco. After moving to freezing, cold Canada from Mexico, Maria taught herself English and was very proud of her long successful career at Sears (Simpsons) in Toronto. Maria truly appreciated the daily phone calls she received from many family and friends over the last few years. The feisty, determined, loving, fun and stubborn Mexican-Canadian has said “Adios” for the last time. She will be missed.
Sister of the late José Garcia (the late Carmela Chacón), survived by Celia Garcia (the late Donald Every-Clayton), the late Lourdes Garcia and survived by Teresita Garcia (Hector Martinez). Sister-in-law of the late Jack and the late Joyce Graham, the late Zora Jean and the late Robert Thomlinson, survived by Leslie and Gladys Graham. Step-mother of Christine Roy (Cameron), Heather Graham (Bill), Sharon Graham (the late Ken) and Michile Graham. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Thank you to all Hospice Peterborough Staff for the kind, loving care, patience and sweet treats that you gave Maria during her stay. I’m sure you won’t forget Maria anytime soon.
