July 17, 1976 – August 24, 2024
With his family by his side, Troy spread his wings on Saturday August 24th , 2024 to be welcomed with love by those who passed before him.
He will be missed beyond words by his high school love and wife for the last 28 years Erin, their amazing and loved children Colton and Rya, his loving mom Rosemary (he is her Baby Boy), brother Jerry, sister Tanya and his best fur buddy Rocco who he is now reunited with and let’s not forget his close talking pup Stella who misses her dad.
Preceded by his dad Jerry who passed away in May, his Nana and Papa (Patricia and Wallace “Wally” Green), his Grandma and Grandpa (Kay and James Fryia), along with other beloved family members and his childhood pet Jibou.
He will be greatly missed by his mother-in-law Linda (he was her “favourite”), brothers in law who he was so proud to call his brothers Ryan and Alphonzo. Nephews Tivon and Andreas, and nieces Amira and Aria. Special Uncle to Stevie, Max and Ellie. He will also be missed by his godparents Auntie Anne and Uncle Alan Black as well as his families on both sides including aunts, uncles and cousins especially Tim and Ben.
Troy will be together again with those who like himself have passed way too soon and way too young. Buddies Mike, Georgie and Dennis will have a chair ready at the table with a cold one cracked, a fishing line baited and a game of beanbag toss ready to go, that he will of course win.
To know Troy was a pleasure, privilege and an honour. He knew the true meaning of being a friend and just to name a small few who had that honour as there wouldn't be enough ink in the world to complete it; Wilson, Boston, Rob-Wednesday, Amanda, Ryan S, Evans, Andy, Roger, Normy, Gord, Gooch, Mikey, Andre, Damian, Scotty, Jake M, Jake P, the “wolf pack”, Dave, Vinny……….The list goes on and on and you all know who you are.
Troy lived a life full of love and happiness with endless adventures good times and stories to be told. He was the hardest worker in the room that was always up for anything. He loved hockey trips, music, fishing, hunting snowmobiling, and a good tourney of any kind that he would usually win, and let's not forget his favourite sports team since childhood the New York Islanders and Pittsburgh Steelers.
He was the most selfless dad who loved his kids to his core and taught them kindness, patience, strength resilience, how to always make the best of any situation, to have a good time and enjoy life. He has given them guidance and Dad advice to help them navigate this world. A son, husband, dad, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend and Man like no other, truly cut from a different cloth.
Our lives will be forever changed by your love, and we want to thank you for being unapologetically you. We will never stop sharing stories, memories and laughter. You are a Legend off on new adventures with the ones waiting for you above the clouds, as you would say “Good to Go”.
We Love you!
