The family of Phillip Michael Grisdale regret to announce his passing at the Blind River Hospital on March 3, 2022 at the age of 68.
He was predeceased by his parents Shirley (nee Belisle) and Phillip Norman Grisdale of Thessalon, ON.
Phillip was the proud father of Jody Grisdale (Patricia) and Joshua Martin (Amy).
Brother to Beverley DeCourcy (Garry), Gerald, Peter (Bonnie), Rodney (Agatha), Steven (Sonja), Anne Noland (Rodney), Curtis (Carol), Jeff (Sherry) and Richard (Maureen).
Phil was a skilled mandolin and guitar craftsman proudly crafting beautiful instruments.
With a strong determination he fought the fight but lost his battle to COPD.
Thank you to all health care agencies, physicians, hospitals and friends who cared for and supported Phil during his illness over the years. A special thank you to Blind River Hospital staff who cared for him during these past months and to nurse Jennifer for being there in his final hours.
At Phillip’s request there will be no funeral services. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date.
