John Bradley (Brad) Hawkins of Blind River, Ontario, passed away suddenly on June 30, 2024, at the age of 62 years. Born in Blind River on July 31, 1961, to his loving "Ma" Roseanne (Egan) Hawkins, of Sudbury, Ontario, and John Douglas Hawkins (predeceased.)

Brad fell in love with the Canadian Rockies as a teenager and spent most of his life between Lillooet and Kamloops, B.C. Brad will be remembered for his sense of humour, his love of old cars, and his free spirit. Many times, he hitchhiked from Ontario to B.C. and back again, seeing more of our beautiful country on foot than most have seen by car.

Brad is survived by his sister Shelley (John Whalen) and his brother Gregory, of Sudbury. Proud uncle to Josh and Aliyah Whalen. Many thanks to cousin Debbie Caibaiosai, Brad sat shotgun on many road trips for shopping, medical appointments or to visit family. Nephew to Carol Marshall-Cosby (Floyd) of Falconbridge, predeceased by Edward Thorpe (Donna Seabrook-Thorpe) of Windsor, Shirley (Harry) Fairbairn, Leila (Bob) Brown, Goldie (Terry) Lambert, Jack (Germaine) Egan, Sandra (Ron) Imbeau. Survived my many cousins.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will gather at the Hillside Cemetery, Blind River, at a later date.

"Goodbye my family and friends, I am in a nicer place or a hotter climate!"
