Passed away surrounded by loved ones at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on February 23, 2022 at 88 years of age.  Beloved wife for 69 years of William (Bill) Heise. Loving mother of Ken Heise (Lynne), Marsha Rand (Wayne), Bill Heise (Yvonne) and Patti Heise Ryan (Dave). Proud Grandmother of James Heise (Isabelle), Courtney Kosheiff (Kelly), Megan Heise, Amy Rand (Mark VanDam), Hilary Davidson (Ryan), Mark Rand (Tracy), Stephanie Heise, Kevin Heise (Helena), Ryan Heise (Loretta), Anna Gallinger, Mathew Gallinger (Violet), Jarrett Bourque (Meagan) and Connor Bourque (Danielle). Great Grandmother of Hannah Heise, Sydney Kosheiff, Blake Kosheiff, Izzy Thurlow, Sienna Thurlow, Logan Davidson, Clark Davidson, Ryla Davidson, Julianna Davidson, William Heise (III), Flora Heise and Hudson Bourque. Predeceased by her parents Wilbert Bo Oliver and Dorothy Elizabeth Reed Oliver. Dear sister of the late Wilbert Oliver “Pee Wee” (late Ting), late Robert Oliver (late Marge), Joan Holley (Buzz), Wayne Oliver (late Louise), late Donald Oliver, late Brian Oliver (late Janice) and Gary Oliver (Sandy). Dear sister in-law of the late Boyne Heise (late Verna), Robert Heise (late Cathy), Russell Heise (late Eva), Deanna Burke (late Clarence). Marilyn will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

A lifelong resident of Sault Ste Marie, Marilyn had many friends. She was well known for her charitable contributions to the community, most notably her involvement with the Canadian Royal Purple where she held a number of Senior Executive roles during her 68 years as a member. Marilyn was first introduced to the Royal Purple by her mother Dorothy who was a Charter member of Sault Ste Marie Lodge 155 which was established in 1952. A talented bookkeeper, Marilyn spent the majority of her career working for A&P followed by Metro until her retirement. A special wife, mother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Friends may visit the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street E. 705-759-2522) on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm. Memorial service to follow in the chapel at 1 pm. The Very Rev. James McShane officiating. All COVID restrictions apply, masks and social distancing. Friends are invited to view the service online starting at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 and can be viewed anytime up to 90 days.  Go to www.funeraweb.tv and select Marilyn's name to view the service.  Interment St. Luke’s Columbarium.
