It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Jean Hodges (nee Kerr-Taylor) in her 83rd year at the NSHN-Blind River on June 27, 2021 with family by her side. Beloved wife of the late John Hodges. Loving mother of Lynn (predeceased) (Sam) and Graham (Lisa). Cherished “Grannie” of Taylor (Kendall). Predeceased by her parents William and Vivian Kerr-Taylor. Daughter in law of the late Sidney and Winifred Hodges of England. Survived by her siblings Raymond (Molly), Yvonne (late Bob), Roy (Kim). Predeceased by her siblings John (Jeannette), Trevor (Annette), Norman, Heather and Naomi.
Jean will be remembered for her love of family. She cherished the many large gatherings during various holidays.
 
An extra special thanks to all family and friends especially her sister Yvonne for their support and compassion during these past months. A special thank you to all of Jean’s personal support workers and staff with Community Support Services NSHN who’s thoughtfulness and compassion and companionship these past few years was greatly appreciated by the family. Also, a special thank you to the nurses, doctors and especially Dr. Workman at NSHN-Blind River for their compassion and care of Jean these past few weeks.
 
As per Jean’s wishes cremation has taken place. Due to Covid, a private graveside service with interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery. The Venerable Roberta Wilson-Garrett officiating.
 
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to Community Support Services NSHN at P.O Box 970, Blind River, ON P0R1B0 or to a charity of your choice.
