Bruce Franklin Hoffman, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at the age of 67 on September 28, 2024, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 26, 1957, in Gary, Indiana, Bruce was the cherished son of the late Ronald and Laura Joyce Hoffman.

Bruce's passion for aviation was evident from a young age, leading him to pursue and achieve an MBA in Aircraft and Aerospace Management. This academic milestone was the backbone of a distinguished career in the aviation industry, where he dedicated his expertise to aircraft inspection, maintenance, and safety. As a flying instructor, he shared his love for the skies with countless students, and as a quality assurance auditor for major airlines in North America, he ensured the safety of air travel for millions.

Bruce's professional achievements were matched by a personal life filled with love and laughter. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Lucie, and a loving father to his sons, Jacob and his wife Basma of Toronto; Steven and his wife Alison as well as stepfather to Jacynthe Corbeil of Grand Prairie, Alberta; and Micheal. His role as a proud grandfather to Anna brought him immense joy and contentment, and his guidance as a parent and grandparent will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed.

He is also survived by his brother Daniel and his wife Cindy of Westfield, Indiana; his brother Ronald's late wife Della of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; his brother Larry and his wife Karen of Okeechobee, Florida; and his brother Ken and his wife Sarah of Calgary, Alberta. Each of his siblings will carry forward the memories of his kindness, intelligence, and generosity.

Bruce's love for the great outdoors was a constant throughout his life. He found solace and excitement in nature, often seen camping, fishing, canoeing, and hunting.

Those who knew Bruce would describe him as an intelligent man with a kind heart and a generous spirit. .

Bruce's life was a testament to the power of passion, dedication, and love. His unwavering commitment to his family, his career, and his interests has left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we say goodbye to Bruce Franklin Hoffman, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of purpose and warmth. He may have departed from this world, but his memory will continue to soar high, much like the aircraft he so loved. Bruce will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Our sincere thank you to the ER and ICU staff for their care and support.
