HOOGSTEEN, Clare - passed away peacefully at the F. J. Davey Home in her 84th year.
Mum was "Born Dead" on a farm and wasn't supposed to make it past 16, and made sure that everybody knew. She always said she was surprised that she was still alive. To her astonishment, she lived to have 6 kids.
Loving daughter of the late Louis and Nettie Adcock. Cherished sister to the late Bob (late Lois), late Lyle and Rosemary (Merl Reed). Proud mother of Roxy (Jim), Angela (Mike), Rory (Lisa), Jodi, Lisa (Gord) and Petrina. Beloved grandmother of T.J., Dustin, Tara (Chris), Brianna (Travis), Samantha (Kyle), Riley, Hayley, Evan and Keira. Great-grandmother of Marek, Milo, Jett and Zoe. She will be greatly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A special thanks to the staff on Cedar 2, especially Dr Chung, Vince, Irin, Candace, Kendra, Amy and Melanie. Thank you for your special care and compassion in her final days.
